School Wide Goals for 2016-2017 - Washington Caldwell School District
- Increase Student Achievement
- 95% of all students taking the Wisconsin Smarter Balanced assessment in grades 3-8 will score in the Advanced Proficient or Proficient categories.
- Standardized test scores will increase 5% over the previous year’s test scores, or alternate assessment scores.
- 99% of all students in grades 3-8 will take the Badger Exams assessment.
- Washington-Caldwell will continue its participation in the Educator Effectiveness Program.
- Goals and activities for the school’s Talented & Gifted Program will be reported to the school board at the October school board meeting.
Performance Indicator: Teachers will review 2015-2016 test scores and complete an item analysis by the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year.
Performance Indicator: Teachers will review the Wisconsin Exams’ test format by October 1.
Performance Indicator: The assessment coordinator will present the plan for the testing program for 206-2017 at the October School Board Meeting.
Performance Indicator: The Exam results will be reported to the School Board as results become known in May 2017.

Performance Indicator: Continue to foster excellent communication with our current parents, as well as develop additional ways to showcase our school to parents who may elect to Open Enroll their children to Washington-Caldwell.
Performance Indicator: School District Bookkeeper will present a long-term financial plan update to the School Board at its September 2016 meeting.
Performance Indicator: Continue to add monies to the Sinking Fund created at the 2016 Annual Meeting.
Performance Indicator: Be forward-thinking in developing moving forward with our established administrative succession plan.

Performance Indicator: Continued support for evening Parent Informational Activities sponsored by our student services personnel.
Performance Indicator: Continue outreach activities with the school community. For example, pursue monthly columns in the Waterford Post, as well as interact with service organizations inviting them to participate in school events and activities.
Performance Indicator: Emphasize need to post all school activities on school calendar, as well as check there are no scheduling conflicts.
Performance Indicator: Participate in meetings with area school districts.
Performance Indicator: Provide copies of the student newspaper “Bulldog Bark” to area outlets to inform interested people in the community about what’s happening at Washington-Caldwell from a student’s perspective. - Innovation
- Make preparations for the new Technology Plan to be developed during 2016-2017.
Performance Indicator: Articulation with Waterford High School will take place to insure the successful transition of our students to high school regarding technology.
Performance Indicator: Newsletters, Parent Updates, and flyers will be emailed to parents to reduce the amount of paper used.
Performance Indicator: All staff will make a concerted effort to reduce the amount of paper used through photocopying.
Performance Indicator: Technology update provided to school board on a monthly basis.
Performance Indicator: Implement Project Lead The Way during the 2016-2017 school year.
