Can you believe we have reached the conclusion of the 2014-2015 school year! We have had an extremely successful year learning together! On behalf of our school board, I want to commend all of our students, parents, and staff members for the excellent year we have experienced working together.
I also want to congratulate our outstanding 8th grade class that graduated on June 3rd. Our 8th grade students have distinguished themselves not only during this school year, but also throughout their careers at Washington-Caldwell. They are well-prepared for high school.
Registration for the 2015-2016 school year has taken place. If you didn’t get a chance to register, please do so during this week. Plus, if you know of a parent who has school-aged children who has moved into our district recently, please send them our way. We will be happy to talk about our wonderful school and the opportunities that await their child at Washington-Caldwell.
The annual PTO sponsored Carnival held the final day of school was a lot of fun. Our PTO is fantastic and our students and staff appreciate all of their support throughout the year.
Speaking of PTO, I want to extend my sincerest appreciation for all of the hard work and time expended by our PTO on behalf of the Washington-Caldwell school community. Our school could never be the outstanding place it is without the volunteer efforts of our caring PTO. “Thank You” PTO from everyone here at school for everything you do for all of us at school!
The school board established goals for 2015-2016 are posted on our website. Please take a moment and review them. You can find these goals by clicking “2015-2016 School-Wide Goals” on our home page. Our goals will help all of us stay focused on ways to improve our school.
I am very proud of our students, parents, and staff, as well as the school community our school district serves. Thank you for your support throughout the 2014-2015 school year! Working together, we have accomplished great things for our young people who have achieved to a high degree throughout the year! Have a wonderfully safe and rewarding summer!
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1, 2015!
