Please stop by our Washington-Caldwell School and PTO Tables
during this Sunday’s “Picnic in the Park” at the Town of Waterford Park!
For the Week of June 1, 2015:
Can you believe we have reached the final week of the 2014-2015 school year! We have had an extremely successful year learning together! On behalf of our school board, I want to commend all of our students, parents, and staff members for the excellent year we have experienced working together.
I also want to congratulate our outstanding 8th grade class that will be graduating on Wednesday. Our 8th grade students have distinguished themselves not only during this school year, but also throughout their careers at Washington-Caldwell. They are well-prepared for high school. Graduation on Wednesday is at 6:30 p.m.
Registration for the 2015-2016 school year took place this past week. Nearly 70% of our parents attended registration! Thank you! If you didn’t get a chance to register, please do so during this week. Plus, if you know of a parent who has school-aged children who has moved into our district recently, please send them our way. We will be happy to talk about our wonderful school and the opportunities that await their child at Washington-Caldwell.
Thursday, our Four Year-Old Kindergarten class will be graduating 5K at 10:30 a.m. and then our Five Year-Old Kindergarten class will have their ceremony as they transition to 1st Grade! These are nice ceremonies that students, parents, and grandparents enjoy very much. Congrats to our Kindergarten students!
Friday is an early release day with dismissal at 12:35. The annual PTO sponsored Carnival will be held in the morning.
Speaking of PTO, I want to extend my sincerest appreciation for all of the hard work and time expended by our PTO on behalf of the Washington-Caldwell school community. Our school could never be the outstanding place it is without the volunteer efforts of our caring PTO. “Thank You” PTO from everyone here at school for everything you do for all of us at school!
The school board established goals for 2015-2016 are posted on our website. Please take a moment and review them. You can find these goals by clicking “2015-2016 School-Wide Goals” on our home page. Our goals will help all of us stay focused on ways to improve our school.
Let’s make the final week of the school year extra special in every way possible!
Parents please continue to dress your children appropriately. Plus, attendance, attendance, attendance!!! Thank you for all your help.
Please drive safely at all times around school. Remember to wear seat belts at all times – seat belts save lives! Please remember when picking up students at the end of the day to park in the east parking lot. Do not park in front of the school since our buses are there to pick up students at dismissal time.
I am very proud of our students, parents, and staff, as well as the school community our school district serves. Thank you for your support throughout the 2014-2015 school year! Working together, we have accomplished great things for our young people who have achieved to a high degree throughout the year! Have a wonderfully safe and rewarding summer!
GO BULLDOGS!
