For the Week of April 27 - May 1, 2015:
Mr. Tim Szeklinski and Mr. Todd Galkowski were administered the oath of office by Board Clerk Stacey Forkner at this past Monday’s school Board meeting. Congratulations to both Mr. Szeklinski and Mr. Galkowski!
Also at this past Monday’s school board meeting, the board approved my staying on as part-time superintendent next year. Ms. Jill Saltzmann will be the full-time principal while starting her superintendent’s license coursework. As far as time at school next year, my part-time superintendent role is projected to be one week per month.
The Middle School Track Meet takes place on Thursday, May 7th (Rain Date: Thursday, May 14th) at Waterford High School. Students from Drought, North Cape, and Washington-Caldwell will be competing.
Our annual Senior Brunch is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th. This is a fantastic event for our area seniors to enjoy a visit to W-C. Besides a delicious brunch, our guests will see and hear our students perform their Spring Concert!
Speaking of our Spring Concert, this special evening featuring our talented students under the direction of Mr. Jake Schroeder is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13th at 6:30 p.m. Please plan to attend!
Registration for 2015-2016 is rapidly approaching! Registration is set for Wednesday, and Thursday, May 27th & 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. We’re excited about next year!
The remainder of the school year will be very busy for everyone! Check the school calendar, teacher websites, and school website for information regarding events, field trips, etc.
For the remaining days of school – Perfect Attendance! “Now is not the time to slow down or ease up. Now is the time to keep your eyes on the finish line – pour it on!” Sound familiar? With six weeks remaining in the school year, let’s make each and every day count! Thanks for everyone’s attention to attendance and being on time for school.
Please drive safely at all times around school. Remember to wear seat belts at all times – seat belts save lives! Also, please remember when picking up students at the end of the day to park in the east parking lot. Do not park in front of the school since our buses are there to pick up students at dismissal time.
Please remember that besides my writing this weekly “Superintendent’s Bulletin Board Message” column that is posted each Friday on our school’s website by clicking on “Dr. P’s Weekly Message”, I also encourage visitors to our website to click on “Future Focus” to see all of the various accomplishments and activities W-C has been involved in during the past few years. Let me know what you think. Thank you!
We thank our school community for its continued support of the school children at Washington-Caldwell!
GO BULLDOGS!
