I want to extend my personal thanks for the efforts of Mrs. Michelle Bozio and Mr. Jake Schroeder who have personally taken a lead role in our Veterans Day program scheduled for Tuesday at 10:55 a.m. in our gym. It is important to remember our veterans and this program allows all of us a time to reflect on the meaning of this special day.
The monthly meeting of our PTO will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday in the library. All are encouraged to attend!
Members of the Waterford Kiwanis Club will present “Terrific Kids” certificates to deserving students on Wednesday morning. I want to thank Waterford Kiwanis for sponsoring this important recognition program.
Honor Roll certificates will be presented to students in Grades 6, 7, and 8 on Wednesday at 2:45 in the multi-purpose room. I want to congratulate our middle school students who have earned honor roll recognition.
Perfect Attendance for the first Nine Weeks of school will also be presented on Wednesday.
Parents and visitors to our school are asked to be extra careful when driving in our parking lot. At the beginning of the day and at dismissal, all parents should use the east parking lot. By doing so, you will not interfere with busses dropping off or picking up students. Please remember - safety first!
Please visit our website and click on “2014-2015 School-Wide Goals.” These school board goals will keep us focused on improving student achievement in 2014-2015. While there, I invite you to click on “Future Focus” to see the many accomplishments our district has made during the past few years. The items listed are never done alone, but with a team effort that includes students, parents, staff, and the community. Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or suggestions.
On behalf of the students, parents, staff, and school board, I want to express my appreciation for our community’s support for the Washington-Caldwell School District.
GO BULLDOGS!
